Catholic Priest kidnapped for the second time within a year in Delta

A Catholic priest of the Sacred Heart Parish, Obomkpa in Aniocha North local government area of Delta State, Reverend Andrew Anah, has been kidnapped for the second time within a year.

According to reports, the clergyman was kidnapped by gunmen who ambushed him, forced him into their vehicle and drove off with him to their hideout.

This is the second time he will be kidnapped in a year.

In August 2017, the clergyman was kidnapped by unknown persons and was released after an undisclosed sum was allegedly paid to his abductors.

Confirming his recent abduction, the state police comand’s spokesperson, Andrew Aniamaka, said efforts are being made to rescue the clergyman and arrest the kidnappers.
